About the Department
Established in 1999 at the College of Science, Tikrit University, the Department of Computer Science aims to prepare skilled professionals capable of keeping pace with technological advancements. The department provides students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in software design, networking, cybersecurity, software development, and artificial intelligence. Since its inception, the department has organized training programs, offered scientific consultancy, and fostered employability in both public and private sectors. In 2007, it joined the College of Computer Science and Mathematics and launched evening studies. The Master’s program in Computer Science began in 2020–2021. The department continues to strive for academic and research excellence, innovation, and contributions to sustainable development through technological projects.
